Dr. Raggi is a licensed clinical psychologist and director of Brighter Outlook Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, LLC. She earned her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Maryland, College Park and completed internship at Children’s Hospital in Washington, D.C. and postdoctoral fellowship at NYU Child Study Center. Dr. Raggi has over fifteen years of experience providing evidence-based treatment for youth and families with selective mutism and co-occurring disorders. She has developed and directed intensive summer camps for children with SM for the past eight years and worked on pilot studies to examine camp outcomes. She is currently co-director of the Kids Out Loud Summer Camp in the Washington, D.C. metro area. Dr. Raggi writes the "Brave Voices" blog for Psychology Today. She has been interviewed by the Washington Post, Forbes, and other media, and has published in numerous academic journals on evidence-based approaches to child mental health treatment. She is first author of the book, "Exposure Therapy for Treating Anxiety in Children and Adolescents", a comprehensive, practical resource on the “how-to” of implementing exposure-based therapy for youth with anxiety.
