Elle Daoust

Elle Daoust is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker at the Boston Child Study Center, where she provides evidence-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) for young children and adolescents, as well as caregiver coaching. Elle earned her Master’s Degree from the Boston University’s School of Social Work, along with an award for academic excellence. Elle completed her advanced clinical training at the Center for Anxiety and Related Disorders (CARD), where she provided individual and group CBT and PCIT-informed treatments to youth with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), anxiety disorders, and selective mutism.

Elle has gained clinical experience in a variety of settings such as McLean Hospital’s 3 East Dialectical Behavior Therapy Program, North Shore Medical Center’s Adolescent Partial Hospital Program, and Massachusetts General Hospital’s Pediatric Center for OCD and Related Disorders. Elle is also trained in Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE), by Dr. Eli Lebowitz of the Yale Child Study Center.

After earning her MSW, Elle began her career as a child and adolescent clinical therapist at Massachusetts General Hospital’s Pediatric Psychiatry Department, where she applied Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and CBT for children and adolescents with OCD, anxiety disorders, and Tourette Syndrome. Elle also developed and directed group programming at MGH for caregivers of children with anxiety and related disorders using the SPACE protocol.

Elle’s clinical interests include providing evidence-based exposure therapy techniques to decrease avoidance and foster a values driven life, caregiver support and psycho-education to decrease accommodation of anxiety and related disorders, as well as adapting evidence-based treatments for younger children. Elle has a warm, encouraging, and dedicated nature that she employs to support her clients in reaching their goals
