Dr. Keeton is a licensed psychologist and Assistant Professor dedicated to providing high-quality, evidence-based care to children, adolescents, and their families. She earned her undergraduate degree from Duke University, followed by a master’s and doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Her clinical training included a one-year internship at Duke University Medical Center in the Division of Medical Psychology and a subsequent one-year postdoctoral fellowship at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine (JHU SOM), Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. From 2006 to 2014, Dr. Keeton served as a full-time faculty member at Johns Hopkins, where she was an investigator on several landmark treatment trials for pediatric anxiety, depression, and tic disorders, and directed an outpatient clinic specializing in the assessment and treatment of pediatric anxiety disorders, including selective mutism. She has authored dozens of peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters. In 2014, Dr. Keeton established a private practice in Maryland. She continues to serve as part-time faculty at JHU SOM.
