Dr. Rachel Kupferberg is a clinical psychologist and Director of the Selective Mutism Program at NYU Child Study Center, where she provides weekly behavior therapy for SM and runs the group intensive programming for youth with SM. She is a certified PCIT-SM therapist and is currently working towards becoming a Within Agency Trainer for PCIT-SM. Prior to joining NYU Child Study Center as faculty, she completed her postdoctoral fellowship on the Empirically Supported Treatments for Children with Selective Mutism and ADHD track at NYU. Dr. Kupferberg's research interests center around intensive group treatments for children and adolescents with SM. She recently published a paper entitled "Intensive Group Behavioral Treatment for Older Youth with SM: An Open Trial", examining the preliminary effectiveness of an IGBT for older youth with SM.
